When I first started reading this book, I related to most of her initial descriptions, especially parts about being able to sense energy, and accidentally absorbing the energy of other people and places I visit. She has a wonderful conversational writing style that is crisp and easy to read, and still efficiently gets through information. She clearly has direct experience from her many workshops teaching this material, and is able to teach efficiently and with great humor.I'm someone who has always been sensitive to energy. After I gave birth to my second son, I became extremely anxious, which is not my normal personality at all. I ended up finding a healer who figured out that I had absorbed the extreme anxiety of the woman who had been in my postpartum hospital recovery room before me.It's wonderful that there are people who can do these types of healings and clearings, but it's quite expensive… I wanted to be able to do it for myself whenever I want or need.I'm so excited to get into her techniques of how to clear energy... I'll update my review after I try the techniques. So far the book seems wonderful.. .I'm having a hard time putting it down to go to bed!Update 3/16/17:I happen to have a nice pendulum handy from an energy kit someone recommended a while back (the Donna Eden Energy Medicine kit). She says you can even use a damp teabag, but if you're ordering this book, you might want to order yourself some kind of stone/crystal pendulum.The moment I started the exercises, they instantly felt like they were working. The pendulum did exactly what she described it would do. It's exciting that she first recommends you clear for someone else – I've been trying to find a way to contribute more to the people in my life for a long time, and within minutes I felt like I was successfully clearing energy fields for others and myself. I was able to do a full clearing for four friends and family (with their permission) on my first day.Two of them said they didn't feel anything different, and one person said they felt nauseous at one point, and tired after, and one of them felt thrilled after I was done. In the book she says all of this is normal.Update 3/17/17:I got into the house clearing section of the book today. I was able to make a dowsing rod out of a wire coat hanger and a pair of pliers (as she describes in the book) that worked perfectly. I was able to quickly figure out that the primary energy disturbance in my house was coming from my sofa, which was a nice quality piece I bought on craigslist earlier this year. The pendulum confirmed that there was some disturbed energy left in the sofa from the previous owners. I don't know what it was exactly, but I was able to clear almost all of it that day, and did a second clearing of the sofa the next morning. The second clearing only took a few moments to get the last bit of disturbed energy out of the sofa.3/21/17:It just keeps getting better and better. Wow. The more I practice, The more I'm able to do. I do recommend reading the entire book. She's not repetitive, and there are a couple warnings and recommendations in each section that should all be read. I learned a few things the hard way, like clearing too much in my home all at once, and getting a bit overtired.Thank you Jean for publishing an absolutely incredible book. I can't tell you how much it's changed my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you for you refining these techniques, becoming such a great teacher, and creating this beautiful book.
I'm already trained as a dowser but am so glad I read this book because it gave some interesting background facts on the history of dowsing (how intriguing that Albert Einstein endorsed the practice of dowsing?!) and introduced the practice of clearing high-EMF/microwave appliances and devices. I didn't know that was possible (I probably should'nt have been so boxed in with my thinking, as we're talking about quantum physics here!), but I tried it and it totally worked!I use actual dowsing rods (as opposed to the pendulum), and the first time I went to each major device, my rod zipped around and around super fast in circles as I cleared it. It would actually take a few minutes and my wrist would get pretty tired from the rod moving so fast, but what was cool to find out was that about a week later, I tested to see if they needed to be cleared, and even though they all did, when my rod did the clearing, it took way less time! I did it again the other day for the third time, and most appliances were cleared after just a few seconds. So it was definitely progressive, and I could "feel" some amount of energetic change in how my home felt overall since trying this out and reading the book. Interestingly, I felt a strong energetic push to get rid of my microwave after trying this particular exercise out, which I wouldn't have even thought of doing...so it was definitely a transformative book and helps you create a higher-vibe environment. It was also very straightforward and easy to read. I will now begin utilizing some of the teachings in my own dowsing practice! :)
WOW, Im blown away by this well written, methodical, systematic and fun clearing book. Its the first time I read such a comprehensive book about energy and clearing. Its a valuable book for any one to read and comprehend, specially those who are sensitive to energy.In our daily life we encounter many people, and issues and we pass by many spaces carrying our own stuff, emotions and certainly energy. We are in constant exchange of energy with people, spaces and life around us. Who wont benefit from regular energy clearing to bring balance back to our bodies, homes and spaces we encounter.I never thought that clearing energy can be so simple and accessible yet powerful.The stories are great and the illustrations are helpful.As I flipped the pages I could feel the great effort Jean had put into this work. She made such a powerful tool be simple, easy, fun and enjoyable to read, and practice. She emphasis on viewing any emotion particularly the negative one, as information and then how best to deal with it. The clearing is following the Chinese five elements.No doubt this is one of most reliable teaching books about clearing energy and it would strongly stand the test of time.

This is not a book to be glib about. I admire it took the author thirty years to learn what she shares within these pages. It's well written, informative and easy to understand. For anyone serious about energy work - for personal use or to help others - I can't say enough good about this one. Reading it is one thing - experiencing it and learning from it will last a lifetime.
Great new book from Jean Haner. She has a beautiful way of describing this type of work. Best of all helps you understand and find ways to move through life and states of imbalance in a better way.
This book is easy to read and follow, learning how to clear energy with yourself, others and spaces. This is not a new subject to me so I appreciated learning new information. I recommend keeping a journal of notes as you read it so you can practice the exercises. After reading this I would love to do a workshop with the author.
